      • When you receive your ballot by mail, follow these instructions to mark your ballot and sign and seal it for return

    • Return your ballot, either:

      • Mail your ballot in the provided envelope — with plenty of time to have it delivered by 11/4/25

      • Drop it in the drop box at City Hall by 8:00 PM on 11/4/25

        • Be away from Newton on Election Day; or

        • Have a disability that keeps you from voting at your polling place; or

        • Have a religious belief that prevents you from voting at your polling place on Election Day

      • Complete the absentee ballot application by 5 PM on the 5th business day before the election

      • Return the application
